Dexter Dalwood - Kurt Cobain's Greenhouse

Posted on September 12, 2018

We're delighted to add Turner Prize nominated artist Dexter Dalwood's limited edition print 'Kurt Cobain's Greenhouse' to our collection.

'Kurt Cobain's Greenhouse' is a limited edition of 250 prints, and is signed and numbered in pencil. Dalwood recreates images of interiors from layers of collaged material that are translated into paint, choosing scenes with dark and violent associations and a certain pop-culture notoriety, the spaces have a sense of foreboding and poignancy, but pull back from recreating explicit violence, leaving us strangely adrift, between remembered images and imagined horrors. You can see more of Dexter's work here, and read more about the work here
