Karolin Schnoor hails from Berlin and after graduating from the Illustration course at the London College of Communications now lives and works in south London. Memories of childhood books, eastern European folk art and a love of patterns and screenprinting inform her practice. Her work tries to find a balance between areas of flat colour and ornamentation and she is interested in how elements of folk tales and myth can be made contemporary. She has worked on a range of projects from editorial illustration to textile and ceramic designs and also produces her own small personal range of prints and products. Recent clients include the New York Times, Royal Doulton, the V&A and the Barbican.
